The remains found in a northwest Atlanta yard last week belonged to a 30-year-old man, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said Monday.

Investigators have not determined a cause of death for Bryan Mink and are awaiting toxicology tests, a spokeswoman for the ME’s office said.

On Oct. 28, Atlanta police were called to the 600 block of John Street after a resident reported his dog had brought the bones into the yard, Officer Kim Jones previously said. An investigator from the ME's office soon determined that the leg bones were from a human. Later that afternoon, additional bones were found, police said.

Mink had not been reported as missing in Atlanta, Officer John Chafee said Monday. Mink was an Army veteran and attended Central Gwinnett High School, according to an online obituary placed in The AJC.
