Gwinnett County school police are investigating a claim that a six-year-old student was sexually assaulted twice last week in an elementary school restroom.

The first alleged assault took place on Aug. 21 at Sycamore Elementary School, in Sugar Hill. The student said she was taken into a restroom by a third-grade boy and sexually assaulted, according to a police report. The next day, the student said two fourth-grade boys took her into the bathroom and she was assaulted again, the report said.

The police report said the identities of the boys were unknown.

The six-year-old and her mother went to Scottish Rite Hospital and reported the alleged assault. Gwinnett officials said they began an immediate investigation. The investigation is ongoing, said Gwinnett schools spokeswoman Sloan Roach.
