Condolences flood in for slain Georgia prison officers

Police departments from around Georgia turned to social media to express their condolences for the two correctional officers killed by a pair of prisoners in Putnam County early Tuesday morning. The prisoners escaped as they were transported. A massive manhunt was underway on Tuesday. Officials identified the officers as Christopher Monica and Curtis Billue.
Our thoughts and prayers are with law enforcement in Putnam County today as they mourn and pursue the killers.
