The Atlanta Hawks are recognizing 12 community members this season who are committed to serving the city and who embody a combination of cause, culture and community, the NBA team announced in a news release Thursday.

The team launched its “Forever 404 Honors presented by Sharecare” ahead of Thursday night’s game at State Farm Arena.

The Hawks are scheduled to have 12 “Forever 404″ nights this season in which the team and Sharecare, the Hawks’ official jersey patch partner, will recognize 12 local community members, according to the release.

Renee Montgomery, a part owner and vice president of the Atlanta Dream, was honored Thursday afternoon as the award’s first recipient.

“To be ‘Forever 404′ means to be fully committed to serving and creating a lasting impact in our city,” said Andrea Carter, the Hawks’ vice president of corporate social responsibility, in the news release. “We know that Renee Montgomery has continued to go above and beyond for the Atlanta community through the Renee Montgomery Foundation. We are proud to have an opportunity to recognize her and contribute to her efforts in the city of Atlanta.”

Montgomery, a two-time WNBA champion, continues to serve Atlanta by focusing on social justice reform, according to the Hawks. In 2019, she began her foundation to promote love, positivity and equality to all, the Hawks said.

“Let’s go ‘Forever 404′! I am so humbled to be the first to receive this award, and I want to send a heartfelt thank-you to the Atlanta Hawks and Sharecare for recognizing the work that is being done right here in our own community,” Montgomery said in the news release.

Each honoree will receive a donation to an organization of their choice on behalf of Sharecare, four tickets to a Hawks game and a custom-framed Hawks 2021-22 NIKE NBA City Edition jersey.

“Efforts like those led by our ‘Forever 404′ honorees are what make us proud of the legacy and future of Georgia,” said Dawn Whaley, president and chief marketing officer of Sharecare.
