1-year-old injured after falling into burning pile of leaves

A 1-year-old child has been injured after falling into a burning pile of leaves Tuesday in Troup County, according to reporter Colin Scroggins.

#BREAKING: Life flight is on the scene of a serious burn injury after a reported one year old child fell into burning pile of leaves within the area of Costly Road near Greenville Road in Troup County. The 911 call came in around 4:15PM.

Life Flight was on the scene near Costley Road and Greenville Road, Scroggins reported. The 911 call was received about 4:15 p.m., according to Scroggins.

The child was being transported to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Scroggins reported.
