When it comes to finding the perfect restaurant to wine and dine that special someone, the struggle can be real. Luckily, OpenTable has eliminated some of the hassle. The restaurant reservation website recently released its list of the 50 Best Restaurants for a Date in America for 2019, and four popular Georgia spots made the list.

“Given the added stress daters face when looking for the right restaurant, we wanted to create a go-to list that offers a restaurant for any date — whether it’s your first or one-thousandth,” said Anna Besse, director of marketing, OpenTable.

The list is based on diner reviews OpenTable collected between September 2018 - August 2019. From there, all the restaurants with a “minimum overall rating and number of qualifying reviews” were considered for the list. The qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the sum of specific tags like “good for a date.”

Washington, D.C., Illinois, Nevada and Texas tied for the most honored states with six restaurants featured from each, while Georgia was the only state to feature four restaurants. Behind Georgia was Arizona, California, Florida and Pennsylvania with three featured restaurants.

The restaurants are listed in alphabetical order, and the first featured Georgia eatery is The Olde Pink House Restaurant in Savannah. The restaurant is adjacent to the historic Savannah hotel, the Planters Inn. "Guests of the Planters Inn have the unique opportunity to savor the restaurant's sparkling Lowcountry cuisine in the sophisticated, yet casual setting of Savannah's only 18th century mansion," according to the restaurant's website.

Next up is Ray's on the River. Ray's sits along the Chattahooche River in Sandy Springs, and has been an Atlanta tradition since 1984. The restaurant offers live entertainment, a creative hand-crafted cocktail menu and a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for its wine list.

A little further into the city is The Sun Dial Restaurant. Standing 723 feet above Peachtree Street, The Sun Dial is Atlanta's only tri-level dining complex that offers 360-degree panoramic views of the city's skyline.

And finally, we have Vic’s on the River, located in a beautiful old warehouse overlooking the Savannah River and Historic River Street. Along with stunning views, Vic’s menu reflects Savannah’s Southern charm with their take on traditional Southern cuisine.
