Four of the nine people arrested in a child exploitation sting were soldiers at Fort Stewart, the FBI told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday.

Pvt. Alexander Duval and Pvt. Gerard Caouette, both 24, are charged with the use of a computer service to seduce, solicit, lure or entice a child to commit an illegal act. Spc. Alexander Ramon Williams, 21, and Spc. Brad Albert Inherst, 32, each face the same charge.

Also arrested in the sting was Jazeene Simpson, 19, of Atlanta, who was charged with prostitution.

The arrests announced this week mark the second time this year that Fort Stewart soldiers have been swept up in child exploitation investigations.

Details remain sketchy, but the arrests were carried out by a task force of county, state and federal law officers that targets child exploitation around the port city. The ages of the victims involved and details on the computer service used by the suspects have not been released.

This is at least the third group of arrests or convictions announced this year of sexual exploitation rings in the Savannah-Fort Stewart area.

Last March, the FBI and the Pooler Police Department announced the arrest of six men, including two soldiers from Fort Stewart, on child exploitation charges. The men were charged with traveling to Pooler to have sex with a minor child.
