Earth Day is the one day that more than a billion people in almost 200 countries try to do something to save Mother Earth.

Whether it is planting a tree, recycling, or taking a GlobalSelfie, many people will take a moment to mark the event.

This year, Earth Day Network said the day will focus on the environmental challenges the current generation is facing, and what changes can be made to reverse the problems.
