Fulton feud: Sheriff, district attorney clash but does public safety lose?

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard says the county’s sheriff is putting the public at risk to settle a score.

The spark for the feud? Where Atlanta attorney Claud “Tex” McIver should be jailed as he awaits trial on charges he murdered his wife.

Since a court battle over McIver in June, Sheriff Ted Jackson has made it more difficult for Howard’s office to access recorded and monitored phone calls inmates place from inside the Fulton County Jail. He’s even taken away prosecutors’ parking spots at the jail.
