Decatur police are requesting help identifying a suspect after a hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian near the city’s downtown.

The department posted photos on Facebook of a white SUV that was involved in the incident Monday just before 4 p.m. The car hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Commerce Drive and Swanton Way, police said.

Police would not provide an update on the status of the pedestrian, so it is unclear if the person was injured or to what extent.
