Curriculum review planned; parents and community members invited

Gwinnett County Public Schools parents and members of the community are being invited to participate in a review of potential curriculum for the classroom. Materials submitted by publishers are reviewed by parents, community members, teachers, and administrators to ensure that they follow the school system’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum. Mathematics materials for grades 6-12 and non-fiction books for grades K-5 will be reviewed from Feb. 11-23 at the instructional support center, 437 Old Peachtree Road, Suwanee. The review hours are: Monday–Friday, Feb., 11-22, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.; Thursday, Feb. 21, 5–8 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 23, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
