A man was shot to death at a Gwinnett County home in a “domestic-related” incident between roommates Thursday, police said.

Gwinnett officers responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. at a home in the 800 block of Roxholly Lane in the Roxwood Park subdivision. The area is just west of I-985 and south of Buford.

When police arrived, they found one man dead inside the home from a gunshot wound. He was later identified as 32-year-old Gavin Fitzgibbon by police.

Investigators spoke with witnesses who were inside the home and detained one man for questioning. Police identified him as 28-year-old Ian Stewart.

Ian Stewart, 28, of Buford, was charged with malice murder and other counts after he was accused of shooting and killing his roommate, Gwinnett County police said.
