A man who was injured in a shooting in a DeKalb County parking lot Thursday night died from his wounds, officials said.

The man, who was later identified as Michael A. Collier, was involved in a fight in the 3900 block of Glenwood Road, DeKalb police spokeswoman Michaela Vincent confirmed in an email to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Police believe the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Collier was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Vincent confirmed he was in his early 60s.

A suspect has not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
