A Roswell man facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct involving minors had another alleged victim come forward with abuse accusations, police said.
Rodney Christian Damen, 55, has languished in jail since he was arrested in Fulton County on child molestation, child pornography and child indecency charges Oct. 20. He remained held without bond Wednesday, online booking records show.
Last month, investigators said they became concerned that Damen had victimized others. Police issued an April 14 bulletin for more possible victims to come forward and report any alleged abuse.
Another victim recently emerged and now Damen faces additional counts of misdemeanor sexual battery and first-degree cruelty to children, Roswell detectives announced Wednesday.
Department officials said the latest victim came forward after seeing news reports about Damen’s arrest. The alleged abuse occurred sometime between 2018 and 2020, according to a police spokesman.
Investigators still believe Damen may have additional victims and urged them to come forward. Those with information can call Roswell Detective Cheryl Dickerson at 770-640-4453 or email at cdickerson@roswellgov.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
Roswell police and the GBI began investigating Damen last year after an out-of-state youth reported allegations of sexual abuse. Damen was initially charged with aggravated child molestation, child pornography and enticing a child for indecent purposes, according to police.
In October, investigators searched his home in the 500 block of Jasmine Parkway and seized several electronic devices. Authorities charged Damen with two additional counts of child pornography after analyzing those devices, police said.
