Atlanta police have increased the reward to $5,000 in the case of a fatal shooting last year in downtown Atlanta.

On June 1, 2019, police responded about 2:45 a.m. to a call about shots fired outside of an apartment building on William H. Borders Drive. A man was pronounced dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to his torso.

Surveillance cameras in the area captured the scene around the time of the incident, and police have released clips of the footage showing a man they consider a person of interest in the case.

At the time of the shooting, a security guard told Channel 2 Action News he saw two men talking before five shots rang out and the shooting victim collapsed.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to contact them. Tips can be left anonymously by phone or online by calling 404-577-8477 or visiting StopCrimeAtl.org.
