A 17-year-old Lamar County girl was raped during a home invasion Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Deputies said the sexual assault occurred between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the teen’s home along Camp Road in Milner, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.
The victim said she did not hear the intruder approach before he attacked her inside her bedroom, according to the report. She also told police the man covered her face so she could not see her attacker.
No one else was home at the time and it’s unclear how the man got inside the house.
Deputies have not made any arrests or named a suspect in the case.
