A 19-year-old felon with 37 felony charges pending is accused of stealing two vehicles in East Point, authorities said.

Christian Richardson, also known as Donovan James Richardson, was arrested after being spotted in a stolen Dodge Charger SRT on Tuesday, Atlanta police said in a Facebook post.

He’s accused of stealing that vehicle and a Mercedes-Benz SL450 and taking them to an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta. Officers spotted the Charger in College Park and eventually used Stop Sticks, which are a brand of tire-deflation devices, to slow the car, the post said.

Richardson bailed from the car and ran into some nearby woods before being arrested, the post said. He was booked into the East Point Jail and faces several charges in both East Point and Atlanta.

He also had dozens of outstanding warrants in Fulton County for other crimes, including street gang activity and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, the post said. He has 37 felonies and 13 misdemeanors pending from incidents in 2017 and 2018, Fulton court records show.

Richardson had been arrested at least six times prior in Fulton County for various weapons, drugs and car break-ins charges, jail records show.
