An 18-year-old faces nine felonies in Forysth County after allegedly having child pornography on his cellphone and uploading sexually explicit photos and videos to social media, authorities said.

Trenton Graham Turner of Cumming, who was arrested April 10 at his home, was charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography and seven counts of sexual exploitation of children, sheriff’s office Cpl. Doug Rainwater told AJC.com.

“Turner was able to download child pornography onto his cellphone from numerous sites and from there to social media sites,” he said in an email. “He had images of children (nude) in sexual explicit photos as well as videos that we recovered from his personal cellphone.”

The investigation was conducted by the sheriff’s office and the GBI.

A complaint that was filed through social media and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s cyber tip line prompted the investigation.

Because the victims are children, the police incident report is not available as a public record. Rainwater wouldn’t elaborate on the ages of the victims or how many there are in this case.

Turner bonded out of jail for $19,820 on Friday, Rainwater said.
