A 6-year-old DeKalb County boy was inside a car when it was stolen Monday night, according to police. But shortly before 11 p.m., both the boy and the car were located.
Elias Selph was inside a gray 2008 Honda Accord when it was stolen from the 300 block of Glen Hollow Drive near Decatur shortly after 8 p.m., according to Capt. Stephen Fore with DeKalb County police.
Investigators believe the car’s driver ran inside an apartment and left the car running with the boy inside, Fore told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. When the driver returned, the car and the boy were gone, he said.
Shortly before 11 p.m., the boy was found unharmed, Fore said. The car was also located, he said.
No further details were released late Monday.
