Woman killed by train ID’d
A woman struck and killed by a CSX train in College Park was identified Thursday as a 63-year-old East Point woman, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Francisca Ekame.
Witnesses told police Ekame was crossing the tracks at Main Street as the freight train approached about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Warning lights were flashing, and the train was blowing its horn, but the woman kept walking across the track, witnesses said. Police said she was killed instantly.
