A 49-year-old woman allegedly choked her sister, leaving visible red marks on her neck, all while the victim’s two young children were watching, authorities said.
Angela Diane Green of Clermont was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated battery and two counts of third-degree cruelty to children, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The alleged assault took place earlier Tuesday, and sheriff’s office spokesman Scott Ware confirmed to AJC.com that Green and her alleged victim are sisters, making the children Green’s nieces or nephews. Authorities did not release a suspected motive.
Green is booked in the Hall County Jail, and no bond has been set, the release said.
An investigation is ongoing.
