A woman accused of a deadly hit-and-run that dragged a man’s body for about a mile in Michigan last month turned herself in at the DeKalb County jail Monday, according to several media reports.

Valerie "Ann" Bostle, 36, of St. Clair Shores, Mich., remains in the DeKalb jail awaiting extradition to Warren, Mich., on three felonies, the Detroit Free Press reported.

On June 5, she’s accused of fatally hitting 55-year-old Peter Chisolm as he crossed the street, dragging him for a mile pinned under the vehicle, the newspaper reported.

Last week, Warren police told the Free Press that Bostle was seen boarding a bus for Georgia to avoid prosecution and was believed to be hiding with family.

She was wanted on charges of homicide-manslaughter with a motor vehicle, involuntary homicide-manslaughter and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
