After a string of robberies at Waffle House restaurants in metro Atlanta, another location was robbed — this time in Sandy Springs.
And the FBI has noticed, as it has with other robberies in the area.

A man came into the restaurant on Northridge Road, pointed a pistol at employees and demanded money from the cash register about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sandy Springs police Sgt. Sam Worsham said.
The robber took the money and ran out of the store. He was wearing a hoodie, red pants, red shoes and purple gloves, police said.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.
“We are in touch with the FBI at this time,” Worsham said.
Later Wednesday, FBI spokesman Kevin Rowson told Channel 2 Action News, “We now believe the Sandy Springs Waffle House robbery last night is connected to the robbing crew” from the other local incidents.
In one of the FBI’s investigations in Marietta, two men walked into a Waffle House on Delk Road early Saturday, put a gun to server Alicia Gail’s head and gave her a five-second countdown to open the cash register.
Federal agents are investigating whether that incident is linked to one in Acworth, in which two armed robbers had the tables turned on them when a customer fired a gun.
