Another Waffle House robbery draws FBI’s attention

Another Waffle House robbery in metro Atlanta, this one in Marietta, has the FBI checking whether the same people are involved, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Early Saturday on Delk Road, two men with a gun walked in and told everyone to get behind the counter, police said. One man put a gun to server Alicia Gail’s head and gave her a five-second countdown to open the cash register.

“Couldn’t move, I froze,” she said, “and he kept motioning his hand for me to go over to the register.

“... five, four, three, two. And as soon as he hit two, the register popped.”

Federal agents want to see if this robbery was linked to one in Acworth, in which two armed robbers had the tables turned on them when a customer fired a gun, the station reported.

And investigators think the men could be behind at least eight other robberies in the area.

Police said one of the suspects was wearing white shoes and Adidas sweat pants. The robbers supposedly wear the same clothes in each crime.

Fearing for her safety, Gail said she’s looking for other work.

“I just want him caught,” she said, crying. “I just want him off the street.”
