If you have a personalized license plate, it’s probably not the best idea to point handguns at fellow motorists. But Forsyth County deputies said that’s exactly what happened earlier this month on Ga. 20.

Two Dawsonville residents called 911 on Dec. 10 after a man traveling north on Canton Highway pulled a gun on them during a road-rage altercation, according to a sheriff’s office incident report obtained by Channel 2 Action News.

The couple said a gray SUV driven by a man with a red beard pulled alongside them in front of the North Cumming Corners shopping center.

The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe aimed a black handgun at the couple before shouting, “Don’t (expletive) with me,” according to the incident report.

As the man turned onto Ga. 9 and drove away, the couple noticed he had a personalized license plate that said “PEASANT,” authorities said.

Deputies were able to trace the vehicle to 43-year-old Jason Hodder, who matched the description given to them by the terrified couple.

Hodder was arrested Dec. 19 and charged with four felonies, including two counts each of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats, Forsyth County jail records show. He remains behind bars on a $55,460 bond.
