A two-month investigation has landed a University of Central Florida student in jail on child pornography-related charges, according to investigators at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Kevin Estrada, 20, faces 10 counts of possessing child pornography.
Agents with FDLE arrested him Thursday night at Zeta Beta Tau fraternity house. The investigation began in September, according to the FDLE.
"Everybody's pretty horrified, I guess. It's just not something right,” a student told WFTV.com.
A spokesperson for the fraternity said in a statement that it has a zero-tolerance policy and immediately kicked him out of the fraternity.
Investigators said in their report that they found "multiple files of child pornography” on Estrada’s laptop.
The graphic images involved boys and girls ages of 7 to 10 years old, investigators said.
A university spokesperson confirmed Estrada was a team captain of Knight-Thon, a dance marathon that raises money for Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network hospitals. A spokesman said Estrada was immediately removed from the position.
