Two armed men carjacked a vehicle, crashed into two other cars, eluded police and ran from a fiery wreck in an incident that stretched over a wide area of metro Atlanta.
However, a couple of Georgia State University students shared video of the incident, which began in College Park on Saturday night, Channel 2 Action News reported.
It began when the men, who are still at large, asked a stranger for a ride to a southwest Atlanta apartment complex. Investigators said one of the men brandished a gun and ordered the driver to hand over the keys.
From there, the trail led to various parts of Atlanta and headed toward the Georgia Tech campus to try to shake police.
They crashed into a vehicle at North Avenue and Peachtree Street, then hit another car at John Wesley Dobbs and Piedmont avenues, according to officers.
The carjackers, determined to elude police, headed straight for the freeways when they hit a guardrail and drove into a concrete wall, the news station reported.
The men were gone and flames were spreading by the time onlookers arrived.
Descriptions of the men have not been released.
