Alpharetta police are looking for a man and two women they say stole a $42,000 Rolex watch from a jewelry store.

The incident happened at the Guven Brothers Fine Jewelry store on Old Milton Parkway, the police department said in a statement.

The trio walked into the store and the man asked to try on a watch, police said. The man then told one of the women to get his wallet from their car “as a tactic to get out of the access-controlled doors,” officials said.

Once the doors were open, all three ran off with the watch in hand.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Brian Smith at bsmith@alpharetta.ga.us.
