A woman in Cypress, Texas, is in trouble with the law after police say she has housed over a half-dozen exotic animals in her home as pets.
KPRC reported that Houston Police Department went to Trisha Meyer's home for an investigation Sept. 26.
The Houston Press reported that the investigation came after she sold a Savannah kitten to a California man for $3,000 but claimed the kitten was sick and never sent it to him.
The Houston Chronicle reported that when police entered Meyer's home, they saw three tiger cubs and a skunk with Meyer's 14-year old daughter.
A larger tiger, a cougar and a fox were also found, as well as "several monkeys," according to Meyer -- some of which she admitted to police are "vicious" and that one has attacked people.
Meyer's landlord Binh Truong told the Chronicle he did not know she was housing exotic animals.
"She only stayed there for three weeks before I found out," Truong said. "I don't know how someone can put that much damage in three weeks."
According to the Chronicle, Meyer fled with her animals to Pahrump, Nevada, but was located by authorities and her tigers were confiscated Nov. 7.
That same day, KPRC reported that Meyer was arrested and charged with theft and child endangerment and is being held on $2,0000 bail awaiting extradition to Texas.
