A 16-year-old is recovering after a fight escalated and ended with a shooting in the parking lot of a Cobb County movie theater.
The teen was shot about 11 p.m. Tuesday outside the Regal Cinemas 22 on the East-West Connector in south Cobb, police Sgt. Dana Pierce said.
"A physical confrontation was about to take place between two males,” Pierce said. “Prior to the fight, and as the 16-year-old was retreating, he was shot in the right leg by the second male.”
The teen was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be OK.
No arrests have been made, Pierce said.
