A North Carolina high school teacher, who was accused last week of having sex with a student, and her husband are dead after a SWAT situation at their Huntersville, N.C., home Wednesday morning.

Emma Neil Ogle, 63, was arrested Oct. 31 and charged with having sex with a student and other crimes.

On Wednesday, a relative of Ogle's called police and said the woman was armed and barricaded inside her home with her husband, according to Fox 46.

Police said Michael Ogle was found dead from a gunshot wound. According to police, Emma Ogle died from a gunshot wound after her husband, but they have not indicated whether the shooting was self-inflicted.

Emma Ogle was a career and technical education health occupations teacher at Garinger High School, according to WSOC. She had been suspended without pay after her arrest, school system officials said.

A 17-year-old student reported to a school official last week that Ogle allegedly began a relationship with the student last spring that later became sexual.
