Suspects on the loose after armed carjacking in Dunwoody

May 5, 2018

At least two suspects are on the loose after an armed carjacking Friday night in Dunwoody, authorities said.

According to police, a 911 caller said they were followed into the Sterling Condos on Peachford Road by a black Infiniti. Once the caller parked, one suspect exited the vehicle and carjacked the caller’s black 2009 BMW 750LI at gunpoint before both vehicles left the complex, police said.

One of the suspects then wrecked the Infiniti at the intersection of Chamblee Dunwoody Road at East Nancy Creek Drive in Brookhaven and ran away. He was able to escape the area undetected despite a two-hour search by authorities. The stolen BMW hasn’t been found.

The caller was not injured.

No other details were released.
