Four men arrested in Austell this week are being tied to a series of armed bank robberies in metro Atlanta, according to authorities.
Austell police arrested Jason Blackwell, Torrey Marable, Deandre Markee King, and Rico Blackwell on Wednesday night after police conducted a traffic stop after receiving reports that the men were acting “in a suspicious manner” at the PNC Bank at 2913 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Austell, according to a statement issued by the FBI Atlanta office.
The men were charged with conspiracy to rob the Austell PNC Bank.
They were driving a silver Buick Park Avenue — a car used in an earlier bank robbery, authorities said.
The men are also considered suspects in armed robberies at the BB&T Bank, 2480 Dallas Highway, Marietta, on Tuesday; PNC Bank, 2390 Mount Vernon Road, Dunwoody, on Aug. 20, and a Fifth Third Bank branch, 2555 Piedmont Road, Atlanta, on Aug. 9, authorities said.
