Atlanta police have recovered the vehicle of an alleged gunman who shot three people in what they say was a gang-related shootout Friday outside West End mall.

According to police, the white SUV was driven by a rival gang member who fired during a drug deal. They hope it provides key details about the shooting but did not release specifics about where it was located or if it was damaged.

The victims were inside the mall when they argued with other gang members about a substance in a bag, Atlanta police Sgt. Warren Pickard said.

They then left the mall, and someone in a white SUV began firing, police said.

Three people were injured, including a man who was shot in the head.

Channel 2's Lori Wilson reports.

The victims, two men and one woman, were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Police have not released the identities.
