A student faces criminal charges after bringing a gun to Dacula High School, the principal said Friday in a letter to parents.
After receiving a tip, “we moved quickly to investigate,” Bryan Long said. “During our search, we did find that a student had a gun in a backpack.”
It was not clear if the gun was loaded.
“In addition to criminal charges for having a weapon on campus, the student also will face disciplinary action,” Long said.
No one was injured.
“I want to reassure you that this incident was handled quickly and efficiently,” Long said.
