Shots fired after someone drives into home and burglarizes it

Neighbors are on high alert as Henry County police investigate a drive-by shooting, burglary and car crash all at the same home.

Someone drove a car into the garage on Buckingham Place and burglarized the home late Friday, according to police.

“I was not advised of what items were taken,” Capt. Joey Smith said.

Hours later, police got a 911 call that a vehicle at the property had been hit in a drive-by shooting about 1 a.m. Saturday, police told Channel 2 Action News.

The call was made about 10 a.m., Smith said.

It is unclear why the 911 call was made about nine hours after the shooting.

Few details have been released about the incident.

No arrests or injuries have been reported.

Anyone with information about the shooting or burglary is asked to call Henry police.
