A glass door was shattered after a weekend shooting at a dorm on the campus of Reinhardt University in Cherokee County.
Two shots were fired sometime before 7 a.m. Saturday as students slept in Hubbard Hall, according to Channel 2 Action News. No one was injured, but officials were forced to board up the door, the news station reported.
“There doesn't appear to be anybody that was targeted,” said Tim Norton, the university’s vice president for advancement and marketing.
Because no one heard the shots initially, the gunfire wasn’t reported to authorities until after 7 a.m., Channel 2 reported.
No arrests have been made.
“We’ve never had anything like this before,” Norton said. “We’re a gun-free campus.”
