‘She was vibrant’: Mother of 6, boyfriend killed in Christmas Eve crash
The family of a Gwinnett County woman killed in a violent crash on Christmas Eve is mourning her death and trying to figure out how to raise her six children.

“She was vibrant — very colorful,” Angela Wilkerson, Dionte Jordan’s mother, told Channel 2 Action News. “Just keep the prayers coming for everybody.”
Jordan, 34, and her boyfriend Saad Varney were killed in the head-on crash on Johnson Road on Monday after crossing into oncoming traffic, Lawrenceville police said. The driver of the other car, Eunice Johnson, remains in critical condition, AJC.com previously reported.

Wilkerson told Channel 2 she never got to meet Varney, but she knows her daughter had just begun dating him and was happy. For now, she’s trying to stay positive for her grandchildren, ages 5 to 16.
“Individually, we are finding out we have our own moments,” she said. “But collectively, we are awesome.”

Theartis Wilkerson, Angela’s husband and Jordan’s father, told the news station his daughter “reached out to (him) before she passed and said, ‘My daddy, I love you,’” which is what he’s been holding on to through the tough times.
The Wilkersons said friends and strangers have been showering them with love and support in the wake of the accident. Funeral services for Jordan will be held Jan. 4.
Police are still investigating the crash.
