Sexually explicit sketches found in jail cell of attempted child rape suspect

WFTV obtained a March 12 report that a Longwood man accused in a rape and murder attempt plot was found to have sketches in his jail cell of children and adults having sex, according to authorities.

Shawn Thomas, 30, was arrested last year after state agents said he was posing as a filmmaker in order to lure young girls into child porn and that he had plans to then kill their families.

WFTV's Tim Barber requested the public record from the state, showing that the sketches were found in Shawn Thomas' cell during a search.

A deputy found a legal envelope under Thomas’ bed that contained the sketches of adults and children in various sexual positions while using sex toys, authorities said.

The deputy also found magazine clippings of children in the envelope, authorities said.
