A convicted sex offender in Illinois was convicted Thursday of molesting a 14-year-old in Hall County, authorities said.

Bryan Gregory Fossier, 37, of Cornelia, was sentenced to 35 years in prison without the possibility of parole followed by life on probation, Hall County District Attorney Lee Darragh told AJC.com. He was found guilty on four counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of child molestation.

Fossier was arrested in January by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The molestation involved a teenage victim he knew, the sheriff’s office said. No other information about the conviction was released.

He was initially arrested on an outstanding probation warrant. His original charges included failure to register as a sex offender in Georgia and aggravated assault.

Fossier was convicted of sexually assaulting a victim who was at least 18 years old, according to the Illinois State Police’s sex offender registry. He was 21 when he was arrested.
