Investigators in Atlanta and Cobb County believe the same man posed as a police officer in order to sexually assault two different drivers.
Both women told police a sedan with a blue lights on the roof pulled them over early Friday and a man that appeared to be an officer asked for identification. That man, according to police, then assaulted both women.
“The biggest concern we have right now is that this person looked enough like a police officer and two cases we believe are similar enough to think that it’s potentially the same suspect, between us and Cobb, that two people have stopped for him,” Maj. Michael O’Connor with Atlanta police said Monday.
Police have not yet identified the suspect, who is described as being around 30 years old, is approximately 6 feet tall, weighs between 180 to 190 pounds, with brown hair and scruffy facial hair. During the assaults, he has worn a star-shaped badge.
