A man who shot and killed his wife was sentenced Monday to 50 years in prison.

Letron Jemone Bell was found guilty of firing at deputies and fatally shooting Lisa LaShawn Samuel Bell in January 2018, Rockdale County District Attorney Alisha Johnson told Channel 2 Action News.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a home off Habersham Way near Conyers that day, the sheriff’s office previously told AJC.com. When they arrived, Bell fired at officers. His wife then ran out of the home into a nearby wooded area.
