An employee at a Moe's Southwest Grill called police after finding a digital camera in one of the restaurant's bathrooms. The camera was aimed at recording women using the restroom, Delaware State Police said Tuesday.

State police started investigating after the discovery was made Friday by an employee at Moe's Southwest Grill on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington.

“The employee advised troopers that the camera was placed in such a position as to be able to capture images of women using a specific toilet in the bathroom,” troopers said in a news release.

Authorities did not elaborate on where the camera was found or say how many people may have been victimized by it.

"The investigation is in its early stages and we are conducting interviews and examining the evidence to determine possible victims," state police spokesman Master Cpl. Jeffrey Hale said in a statement to The News Journal.

The Delaware State Police Major Crimes unit is investigating the case.
