An Atlanta woman faces charges in South Carolina after allegedly driving drunk with her two young kids in the car Friday, the Aiken Standard reported.
The Aiken Department of Public Safety received a complaint that Tamika Bailey, 28, was driving recklessly on Whiskey Road before turning into Kroger, the newspaper reported.
The witness said it took her several attempts to park into a parking space, according to an incident report obtained by the Aiken Standard. Officers allegedly saw Bailey stumbling while being escorted out of the store with her two young kids.
She told officers she had two margaritas two hours prior, but she failed multiple sobriety tests, the newspaper reported. She was charged with DUI and two counts of child endangerment.
The two children were handed over to Bailey’s sister, the newspaper reported. While waiting on her sister to take custody of the kids, officers tried to change a diaper and found a bottle of vodka in the diaper bag, which didn’t have any diapers inside, the incident report said.
Bailey was booked into the Aiken County jail. AJC.com has reached out to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office for more information on her booking.
