Atlanta police are looking for a handyman they say sexually assaulted and beat an 84-year-old woman in her home.

The alleged assault occurred March 2, police spokesman Donald Hannah told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

After the woman went to the hospital, authorities believe the same handyman, identified by Crime Stoppers as Henry Apkins, broke into the woman's home.

No other details were released.

“The investigation is ongoing and we do not want to compromise any progress,” Hannah said.

Anyone with information about Apkins’ whereabouts or the alleged assault is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
