A 65-year-old suspect is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting at a South Fulton apartment complex on Thursday morning, police said.

John Paul Moore is accused of shooting and killing a man at the Westwood Glen Apartment Homes in the 1200 block of Fairburn Road, South Fulton police spokeswoman Ashley Minter-Osanyinbi said in a news release.

She said Moore called 911 after the shooting, stayed at the scene and told police “that he had messed up,” AJC.com previously reported.
