Atlanta police are searching for a man accused of shooting a woman in front of their three children.

Trevor Montford of Union City has warrants for his arrest for third-degree child cruelty, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Atlanta police said in a news release Thursday.

On Nov. 11, 2017, he allegedly shot Cordelia Swanigan during an argument while she was in her car in the 1700 block of Stanton Road, police said. Their children were also in the car.

Swanigan, who was in stable condition after the shooting, told police Montford got into the driver’s seat after he shot her and drove the kids to a family member’s house before fleeing.

Police said Swanigan is aware of the warrants against him, and he should be considered armed and dangerous.
