An Illinois woman was arrested after she was found with her unresponsive toddler, who tested positive for meth and fentanyl, police said.

First responders found the 17-month-old boy unresponsive and exhibiting signs of a narcotics overdose Monday night, the Madison County Sheriff's Department told KMOV. The child required several doses of Narcan before regaining consciousness, The Telegraph reported.

Drug paraphernalia was found in the home, police said.

The child tested positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl, authorities said. The toddler is expected to recover and be released from the hospital Wednesday into the care of the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services, KMOV reported.

Billie Jean Cottle, 25, was charged with aggravated battery to a child, aggravated battery, reckless conduct and endangering the life or health of a child. She remains in custody with a bond set at $250,000.
