Derrick Walker called his sister to say he’d done “something bad.” He told her that he had hurt his girlfriend.

Those were some of the new details in a brief statement released by DeKalb County police Tuesday in the strangulation of Latousha Holden. Walker was charged with felony murder last week in Holden’s death on Sept. 8.

According to the police report, Walker’s sister dialed 911 after the chilling call from her brother.

She met officers at an apartment on White Pine Drive in DeKalb County. Officers entered the apartment and found Holden’s body covered with a blanket in a back bedroom.
