Atlanta police were investigating a man’s death in Buckhead on Friday that might be drug related.

Responders were at an apartment complex on Chastain Drive, police said.

The situation is not connected “in any way” to recent drug-related incidents elsewhere in Georgia, police said at a news conference.

Since last weekend, 33 people were affected by drug overdoses in Middle and South Georgia, officials said. Another four died — two in Bibb County and one each in Monroe and Houston counties.
